We provide day services to individuals with disabilities. The Day Programs we run provide the people we support with the opportunity for social and economic participation. Over time, the people we support are able to build their knowledge, developing new skills that will enable them to master key life tasks that will make them more independent. We value inclusion, community access and learning. Our team enjoy creating a fun and engaging environment for those attending the Day Program with a range of enriching activities.
By actively engaging participants in a variety of activities, we aim to enhance their overall abilities with daily activities that reflect their choices and interests. Our services are available in Brisbane, Logan, the Gold Coast, Tweed Heads, Byron Shire, Coffs Harbour, Maitland, Gawler and surrounding regions.
The programs we run are individually designed to improve or maintain the ability of those attending to live as independently as possible, within their capacity.
They are also set up to ensure that people in our care are living a good quality of life by providing the opportunity of various experiences that they will enjoy and cherish.
This will ensure our attendees are provided with enriching activities whilst meeting their personal goals and enjoying the company of others.
The disability support program activities we run include, but are not limited to, the following:
Our disability care providers in Coffs Harbour and surrounds facilitate an engaging environment. We cover a wide range of developmental skills, such as cooking, baking, basic IT/iPad navigation, swimming and drama.
Join a great group of people and get inspired at our Day Program by participating in cooking, creative arts, singing, drama and music.
Activities are designed for the individual in a one-to-one supportive setting, based on needs and goals. Individuals are encouraged and supported to maintain their social networks. Community participation assists in building confidence, knowledge and experience for each of the individuals, providing them with the opportunity to realise their specific goals.
When you stay in the centre, there are various activities on different days of the week. These include arts and crafts, cooking, singing, dancing, musical instruments, guest speakers and visitors hosting a variety of sessions.
We also run a market stall selling produce that we have made, such as bath salts, eye pillows, craft, artwork, jams and plants. We will be making seasonal gifts to sell also.
Activities outside the Inspired centre, we have a drama group that meets regularly and which performs an annual show. We also go fishing, on bush walks, birthday lunches to a café, regular lawn bowls and general outings in the community. Our team is committed to running engaging day trips for people with disabilities in Coffs Harbour.
