Are you ready for the transition of the NDIS? At United Disability we consider ourselves fortunate to have the experience and knowledge of how best to navigate the NDIS. What is the NDIS?
The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is a new way of providing individualised support for people with disability, their families and carers.
When is it happening?
Right now, the NDIS is progressively being rolled out in Queensland to applicable participants depending on their current accommodation and location in Queensland.
Where in Queensland?
The NDIS already has early transition sites operating in Northern Queensland. By July 2019, the NDIS will be operating state-wide.
Who is the NDIA?
The National Disability Insurance Agency. The NDIA is working closely with relevant Queensland Government departments to ensure a smooth transition to the NDIS for people with disability, their families, carers and service providers.
How will it happen?
The NDIA will begin contacting participants and their families before their area transitions. To help prepare; participants, families and carers can find all available resources at the website www.ndis.gov.au
