DAY PROGRAMS
Ocean Shores and Coffs Harbour
We provide day services to individuals with disabilities, participation in the Day Program provides the people we support the opportunity for social and economic participation. Over time our clients are able to build capacity, developing new skills that will enable them to master key life tasks that will make them more independent. We value inclusion, community access and learning. Our team enjoy creating a fun and engaging environment for those attending the Day Program with a range of enriching activities.
By actively engaging participants in a variety of activities, aiming at enhancing their overall abilities with daily activities which reflect their choices and interests.
The programs are individually designed to improve or maintain the ability of those attending to live as independently as possible, within their capacity, as well as ensure that clients are living a good quality of life by providing the opportunity of various experiences that they enjoy and cherish. This will ensure our attendees are provided with enriching activities whilst meeting their personal goals and enjoying the company of others.
Program activities include, but are not limited to: Expressive and Creative Arts, Musical Expression, Exercise and Movement, Multi-sensory Workshops, Community Inclusion and Outdoor Activities, Personal Development, Cooking and Household Management Skills and other Life skills.


Day Program
At Inspired we provide an engaging environment for people with disability, covering a wide range of developmental skills such as basic IT/iPad navigation, cooking, baking, swimming and drama. We have group options for the social butterflies with ten pin bowling, Zumba and horse riding each week.
Join a great group of people and get Inspired at our Day Program by participating in cooking, creative arts, singing and music. If you prefer a slower speed then try the Men’s group and a Ladies group with various activities both onsite and in the local community.
These are some of the options for our day program offers in Coffs Harbour. However, we can access activities or create activities for our clients based on their NDIS goals and their interests.
When reviewing our activities, we ask the people we support what they would like to do. One of the new initiatives is a gym program, working with an exercise physiologist introducing weights to build strength and mobility. We try to incorporate the requirements of this session in a fun way using music.
We help our clients achieve their goals by planning the activities to work towards meeting their goals.
Day Program hours 9:00am – 3:00pm Monday to Friday.

Some of the Supported Activities at Coffs Harbour
Arts and Craft activities: Explore your creative side with a variety of options – Painting, sewing, craft creation.
Cooking: Increase your independence and develop your daily living skills by shopping, completing food preparation, cooking and cleaning. And of course – enjoying your meal.
Canteen: Assisting in a school canteen stocking items, creating snacks and preparing orders. Developing work skills.
Zumba: Social dancing for fun, health and fitness.
RDA: Horse riding fun encompassing animal therapy and fitness.
Technology: Computer lessons to learn the basics.
Men’s Group: A social dinner and chat in a safe environment to talk amongst each other.
Women’s Group: Baking, Craft, fun activities and social outings with friends.
Ten Pin Bowling: Social fun with friends. Options to join in with Special Olympics group for competitions throughout the year.
Dancing: Mixed dancing styles with instruction by experienced dancers at a local dance studio. Dance for fun and fitness.
Swimming: Single or group sessions available at a heated swimming pool. Work on your fitness or swim for fun. Option also for Special Olympics swimming competition.
Gardening: Join the community garden group and help reap the benefits of nurturing this communal garden.
Work Experience: Support for you to attend work placement and carry out duties assigned for you.
Karaoke: Love to sing? We have in house and community karaoke available.
























Day Program
We have group options for the social butterflies or if you prefer a slower speed then try the quieter activities. Inspired Day Program is also a “Hub” for 1:1 support to come and hang out or join in. We can have two groups running concurrently, we often have one group stay in the centre, while the other one is out.

The centre is accessible to the community and we will run workshops that non-UDC clients can come to as a single activity for the day.
Supported activities in our centre
When you stay in there are various activities on different days of the week; Arts and crafts, cooking, singing, dancing, musical instruments, musicians that comes in to teach and play and other guest visitors such as our art teacher and a stretch facilitator.
We also run a market stall selling produce that we have made such as bath salts, eye pillows, craft, artwork, jams and plants. We will be making seasonal gifts to sell also.
Supported activities out in the community
Activities when outside the centre – We have a big drama group that meets regularly in the community hall with other clients from other services, with an annual show. We also go fishing, on bush walks, birthday lunch to a café, pottery groups and dances.
Previous special excursions include a visits to Macadamia Castle, Crystal Castle, Local Boat trips, a Byron train ride, visit to Robina corporate office for events and local clubs to visit.

Cooking: Increase your independence and develop your daily living skills by listing, shopping, completing food preparation, cooking and cleaning. And of course, enjoying your meal.
Friends of the Animals: visiting different animal places such as- dog shelters, koalas refuge, horse therapy, cattery, seabird rescue, whale watching and special visit to Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary and the Macadamia Castle
Art Room: Explore your creative side with our art room and teacher, canvases, papier-mâché, mobiles and collages.
The Men’s Shed: Building, making and creating small projects at The Men’s Shed
Coffee Club: Out and about in our community with service users choice each week.
Drama: Long standing well established group based in a community centre. Have fun while meeting new people from the community.
Women’s Hive: Dressing up makeovers, hair and makeup lessons and pamper days for nails, hair and face – with personal care skills incorporated.
Indoor Bowling: Social and competitive fun with friends at Mullumbimby.
Dancing: Instruction by experienced dancers at a local studio. Dance for fun and fitness.
Swimming: Single or group outings to a heated swimming pool, normal pool, beach or river.
Music fun: Love to sing? We have in house karaoke and music teachers with heaps of instruments.
Our Market Stall: Where we make unique gifts to sell locally.
Your Life Skills Class: Making a bed, making breakfast, writing a list for shopping, shopping for food and basic money skills.
Photography with iPads: Out and about with your iPad then make collages, post to social media or print out.
Visit local Markets: The farmers market is a meeting place for the area’s arts-loving community, who come to shop, socialise, chat with the growers and soak up the laid-back North Coast lifestyle. We have a coffee whilst listening to live music.

This centre is located in Ocean Shores shopping centre, NSW and by the bush lined river. It’s very close to the beautiful coastal town of Brunswick heads where they recently filmed Sea Change.
